The Path - my newest commissioned painting, mixed media.
The stonework is stucco medium. Down into the darker area green flocking was added to make the moss. I like tactile!
Copper tree is all copper wire. Upside down tree is embroidery thread stiffened with Mod Podge and containing a hidden item if you look closely (click on each image to enlarge). The written verse was created later when I happened upon a story about moss and realized why it felt so right to me.
A commissioned piece. A departure from my preferred painting methods, still acrylics, but using a palette knife. Finished with gloss medium to make those strokes stand out.
Commissioned portrait. Photography leaves much to be desired. Client was thrilled!!

Tried a new technique for the leaves: used an eyedropper to drop paint onto the branches, dots for the leaves, A fun and simple technique!

Here it is, the huge commissioned work finally finished. Owner and the person he gifted it to are thrilled. Looking forward to doing more on this scale and hopefully getting PAID! (was paid well for this one, liking that a lot)
